About Me & Resume

Hi, I’m Prahlad Mahour, a 3rd-year B.Tech Computer Science Engineering student with a strong interest in software development. I enjoy building applications, experimenting with new technologies, and learning by turning my ideas into working projects.

My main areas of interest are Core Java, Object-Oriented Programming, Android App Development, Web Development, SQL, and Backend Development. I enjoy understanding how things work behind the scenes, especially when it comes to application logic, databases, APIs, authentication, and how different parts of a system work together.

Over time, I’ve worked on several projects to improve my development skills. One of my main projects is PocketSQL, an offline SQL and database learning application for Android, where I’ve explored SQL processing, database management, local storage, and MySQL-like functionality. I’ve also worked on a College Management System using Django, a Typing Tutor with English and Hindi typing support, and an AI-based Voice Noise Removal project focused on removing background noise from audio.

Recently, I’ve also been working on a Social Media & Chat Application using Android, Java, Firebase, and Firestore. The project includes features such as user profiles, posts, likes, comments, following, chat, and other social features. Working on this project has given me a better understanding of how a complete application is designed and how frontend, backend services, authentication, and databases connect together.

I’m someone who prefers learning by building rather than only studying theory. Whenever I learn something new, I try to use it in a project and understand how it can be applied in a real-world application. I also enjoy working on UI/UX and thinking about how an application can be made simple, responsive, and easy to use.

Currently, I’m focused on strengthening my Java and software development fundamentals, improving my understanding of databases and backend systems, and building more practical projects. My goal is to grow as a Software Engineer and eventually work on products that solve real problems and provide a good experience to the people who use them.
